Transfiguro
A poetical journey into the fantastic, played by Anita Bertolami with live music from Monika Ecker.
The main actors of the performance are legs, head, belly and props, all magically brought to life using nothing but imagination and careful manipulation. These wonderful characters emerge from and with the body of the actress, becoming independent and occasionally stubborn beings; a creature made of hair clumsily loses its own props, a small yet big-eyed lady bakes up a storm, and a belly feels inclined to prove its strength.
With gentle charm, the figures of Transfiguro invite the audience into their realm of non-verbal short stories.
Transfiguro...
... is an intimate production that pulls the audience into a world of imagination and wonder. It is theatre for open spaces; for puppetry and street theatre festivals as well as intimate venues. Ideal locations are calm plazas, courtyards or small stages.
The piece is without language, concentrating instead on clear gestures and physical theatre.
